This is an exciting day here on my blog for a few reasons- the first off being it's Friday (yay!) and the second being that I am hosting my first giveaway! Read on for details.
A few weeks ago I ordered something shiny for Phil and I to hang in our living room. A custom medal display from Allied Medal Displays! We had our medals collecting dust on our book shelf and I wanted to find a way to proudly display them. Viola!
For more chances to win an awesome dispay, my good blogger friend Erin is also hosting a medal display giveaway so head over to her contest and enter there, too!
A few weeks ago I ordered something shiny for Phil and I to hang in our living room. A custom medal display from Allied Medal Displays! We had our medals collecting dust on our book shelf and I wanted to find a way to proudly display them. Viola!
The display was easy for me Phil to mount (obviously I just stood there telling him to move it an inch to the left and then an inch back to the right) and that sucker is sturdy enough to hold all of our medals. Pretty fancy, huh?
So do you want one? Because you can have one! The kind folks over at Allied Medal Displays agreed to give one lucky reader of my blog a medal display of their choice. You have 4 different ways to enter the contest:
- Leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite medal is and what race it is from!
- Head over to Allied Medal Displays Facebook fan page and "like" them and then leave a comment on this post letting me know you did that.
- Head over to my Facebook Fan Page and "like" it and then leave a comment on this post telling me you are a fan on Facebook.
- Repost a link to this contest on your blog/twitter/facebook page and leave a comment on this post letting me know.
Make sure for that each way you enter the contest, you leave a separate comment on this post! I will use a random number generator to pick the winner next Friday, June 24th at noon.
If you can't wait until next Friday for your awesome medal display, you can head over to Allied Medal Displays now and enter code LAURENSTRIBLOG at checkout for a discount.
Thanks Allied Medal Displays! You guys rock!
Happy Friday!
(ps- I am not getting paid for this- I loved the product I ordered from Allied Medal Displays so much that I wanted to share the awesomeness with all of you!)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite medal is the one I got in September 2010 for the Nations Triathlon- it has a Lincoln on it so it looks pretty fly. It was also my first Olympic Distance Triathlon and I did it under my goal time... so I was happy about that :-)
My favorite medal is from the first time I ran Boston. It is made out of Pewter.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! My favorite medal is from the Philly Tri in 2008. That was my first tri ever, and got me hooked!

ReplyDeleteMy Broad Street Run medal! I’m not a runner and never thought I could run ten miles. When I crossed the finish line, I felt surge of pride that has yet to be match... I’ve never been prouder than finishing that 10 miler—not any tri, not graduating college, not even getting into law school has surpassed that feeling.
ReplyDelete(I liked everyone and am posting this to my twitter!) Thanks Lauren & Allied!
You did the Spartan race? Its on my bucketlist of races
ReplyDeleteI love my Allied hangar and need a new one.
My favorite medals is from Tri for Joe, because it was my first time I ever poduimed at a race, taking 2nd and this year I won my division, my first top of the poduim finish. They are next to each other on the hanger
I am already like allied medals on FB

ReplyDeleteMy favorite race medal is from Swimming nationals a few years ago. I don't really swim anymore but that medal just means so much to me because it represents everything that I accomplished
ReplyDeleteAww, I love your display, so cute!:)
ReplyDeleteI have a tie for my favorite medals:
ReplyDelete1) the 4.4 mile Chesapeake Bay swim that I just finished on June 12, 2011. I worked SO HARD for that swim and it was the hardest thing I've ever done.
2) the Richmond 1/2 marathon in November 2010. My background is that I've never been able to run, however last year I successfully finished the Richmond marathon 17 minutes faster than I expected :-)
My favorite is from the Eugene Marathon this spring!
ReplyDeleteI liked your FB page!
ReplyDeleteThe race that gave me the 'bug' was Ragnar Relay, DC last year. I love this medal because it was the first one I got that has a bottle opener integrated into the design. I have more now, but that will always be the first.
ReplyDeleteAlso linking this in my blog!

Hey Lauren,
ReplyDeleteI actually have one from this company already but it's almost full so I Liked you on Facebook to try and get another one.
My favorite medal is from the Lawyers Have Heart 10K! For two reasons, it is my FIRST medal and hopefully not the last and a sign of this new chapter in my life and secondly because it was my 2nd race ever but the 1st one where I experienced no shin pain! YAYY!!!
ReplyDeleteand I "liked" your page and Allied Metals pages!
ReplyDeleteI want one of these so bad! My favorite medal is from the green bay marathon 2010. It was my first, my most fun, and my proudest running moment! :D
ReplyDeleteand I tweeted the giveaway (@jerilee40)
ReplyDeleteand I'll post a link to the giveaway on my next blog post! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite medal is one from the Virginia Wine Country Half maraton. The medal is a wine bottle stopper.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Allied Medal displays Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteLiked you, Allied, and posted on my wall...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite medal is the one the gave for Big Sur this year... It's fired clay.
I also like the medal given to finishers of an adventure race in the Nevada Desert outside of Vegas... It was a rock glued to a hanger in a ribbon. All finishers got one.

ReplyDeleteThe medal holder is awesome!! So cute!! My favorite medal is from the Oklahoma Memorial Marathon because it was my first marathon--thanks to you and your awesome motivational skills! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite medal has to be from last year's Nation's Tri. Mostly because I crushed the run, but also because it solidified my addiction! :)
ReplyDeleteFound your blog from Jer Bear Shares! It's a toss up for me, my favorite medal is either my first (and only so far) half marathon medal or my medal from winning high school basketball state (I know glory days, but still a good memory) :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite medal if from last year's NYC Marathon....my first marathon :)
